theThe day that forever changed my life. It was the day that took me from a normal high school athlete, who was striving to be a college athlete, to a young man that feared he would never be able to play sports again. On that day, I was a passenger involved in a horrific car accident in which the car I was in lost control, hit a guardrail and rolled down a steep hill. I remember climbing out of the sunroof of the car and just feeling crushed by the injuries I could see, with my femur bending like a joint and my clavicle popping out of my shirt. After finding out all of the injuries I had been placed withsuffered, and three surgeries later, I heard the news I never wanted to hear,; the doctor told me my chances of playing sports would be highly unlikely.
I have to admit that was very hard to hear, especially in the emotional and physical state that I was in. Meanwhile, themy ambition and the drive began to build as he was talking. I began setting goals for myself, even while I was still in the hospital.
