Clearly, from the beginning of the movie, it ispresents biting criticism of ourmodern society. For example, the main messages that Suzanne Collin (the author of The Hunger Games) possibly wanted to enlighten through symbolic means waswere the divergence of wealth, and the power of reality TV and how it influencesTV's influence on our lives; manipulative techniques which thethat governments usesuse to promote their authority.
