Summary: Currently, the literacy process has been considered a very relevant theme for education professionals,. as dDifficulties arising from it can become deficiapparent; the whole progress of learning a subject, as well as in reading and writing difficulties, which they are comprehensive and aspects of extreme importance for communication between human beings. There is a need for studies on the subject, which will clarify and point out new learning strategies to be wforkcused on the problem. Thus, this study aims to kdeterminowe the possible contributions of psycho-pedagogical actions in a child with difficulties in reading and writing caused by a poorly developed literacy process, and seekings to inform and work with strategies that educational psychology uses to minimize the losses and facilitate better development of school life and activities of the child's family. This study is classified as a case study, with the participation of SF, 8 years old, male, whose initial demand was deficit in reading and writing. From the sessions, the following aspects were observed: learning processes, cognitive level and social ties. The evaluation process and intervening psychology favored the development of the patient through psycho strategies.
