I’m writing in response to your recently advertised position for a Software Engineer/ Software Engineer (Android / IOS). I am very interested in this opportunity with [NUS- IDMI] and believe that my qualifications, education and professional experience would make me a strong candidate for the position.
I am a platform independent programmer who has worked on Java, .Net, HTML, JS, Mobile App dDevelopment(Android / IOS). Before starting my carreer in IT, iI was very much interested in builing Application using Computer Vision and Image Processing. Image processing was my favourite subject during my under graduatione degree. I have build some ball following bots, using Color Recognition Techniques. Color; Regconition is mya field of interest to me which iI have worked on. Then iI starting building models on Color Recognition with the objective of connectiong the physical and digital world. I have published a paper on this, in Bornfiefg Internation Journal of Man mMachine iInteractivity in 2012, during my under graduatione degree. ByAt theat time , iI was not good inat programming, since iI am from Electronics background. Hence, iI joined the IT industry to gain good coding knowledge and to leverage the tools that canould help me building more models. As a part of it, iI joined NUS-ISS to boost up my IT Skills to work on web backend/front end/ Linux skills and much more.
I want to pursue mya carreer in the Eduacation Industry, where iI can learn more and do research as a part of my carreer.
With some expericence in doing research into CV, Color Recognition , Image processing along with strong experience in handling big data sets using NoSQL databases, creating and maintaining web application, building mobile apps with IOS and Android, exposing REST apis to be consumes by mobile as well web client, iI think iI will be a bgretater sufite for theis Jjob position. Mean while, iI have buildt few produtction quality mobile apps during my college days in NUS-ISS for a start up in Singapore, before in joined to work. Its available in play store. As you can see, iI have been working on linix environments for deployment purpose, and windows/mac for development purposes. I can work on both mobile apps and web back end / front end under any development stack within a learning curve of a very short span of time (for new frameworks). Since gaining knowledge in basic Java EE, spring, node.js willI beam vablery helpfull to work on a variety of other platforms on demand.
