I was born in a country that still consists of a traditional culture view for gender roles and expectations, and my leisure choices have been so influenced by it. When I was in my country, I liked to do activities that are appropriate for women, like cooking and singing. However, Ihave become more opened and have adapted to the new American culture that women can do what men like to do, such as biking, hiking, or other sports. I do not think my leisure choices have costs me anything because I enjoy doing them and I do not feel any judgment from people for what I do in this modern culture.
