Hello Serah,

You are right about how low bone density can lead to easy fractures, muscular aches, and spasms. I was extremely concerned about Kylie because there is a possibility that she c
anould have low bone density due to her being anorexic. It can get very dangerous for ballet dancers like her because they are always moving and jumping around. She could easily fracture a bone in her body whilen she is performing. I believe that it is possible for Kylie to live out her dream of being a professional ballet dancer, have a child, and be healthy all at the same time. I know fewomalesn who are body builders, who are about the same height as Kylie twhato can maintain a low body weight, while at the same time remaining healthy. While being a professional body builder and a professional ballet dancer are two different things, the concept of dieting can be used to benefit a ballet dancer. “Ballerinas might dance anywhere from four to 10 hours a day, depending on the practice and performance schedule of the season. This means that she is burning as much as 1,200 to 2,000 calories dancing each day” (Ireland, 2015, p. 1) With how muchany calories isare burned withduring a practice or performance, it is crucial that Kylie eats and get the proper nutrients that she needs. I suggest that Kylie seeks a professional nutritionist twhato understands what kind of diet a ballet dancer needs. Furthermore, I think that she should find new ballet instructors, whones that understand the importantce of eating correctly, and who can be positively be of influences in reaching Kylie's life dreams of becoming a professional ballet dancer.
