Module One: Introduction and Ethical Considerations

Module one will provide an overview of the program andwhile recognizing the ethical and regulatory issues in preceptorship. The purpose of this module is to introduce the preceptor with the philosophy statement and organizational vision, values, and mission, along with brainstorming on preceptorship benefits and significance of the preceptor-preceptee relationship. It is imperative to highlight and discussed the ethical principles and regulatory issues at the initial stage of preceptor training program in order to build strong bases for a code of conduct. The team building activities and icebreakers exercises are recommended at before the initiationg of this module to enhance the involvement of the participants.
Module Two: Responsibilities and Role of Preceptor
Module two will focus on the attributes required in preceptorship and significance for initiating effective preceptor preceptee relationship. Furthermore, the role of preceptor and responsibilities will be discussed along with the role of organization in the process of precepting. The activities such as role-play will be given consideration, nonetheless, if the preceptor training program wills conducted through online, participants could be advised to upload their roleplay videos on the offered online module.
Module Three: Adult Teaching and Learning Approach
Module three will discussed all aspects of adult teaching and learning approach. It will highlight the themes such as assumption, principles, characteristics of preceptor and preceptee, knowledge integration, preferred learning styles, student centered approach, engaging adults, and skills required to deal with adults professionally. In this module, activities such as self-reflection and self-analysis will be given preference, in order to identify once's own teaching and learning approach.
