The experiment carried out at the research station fields of the College of Agriculture-University of Baghdad for two seasons, spring and autumn 2015, For studying the effect of different levels of chemical fertilizer NPK compound and organic fertilizer in growth and production of Ccucumber hybrid Gazeer, seeds have been planted on a terrace width of 2m and planting distance 40cm between a plant and another on both sides of the terrace and, using drip irrigation technology. The factorial experiment designed (4X3) within the design of randomized complete block (RCBD) and three replicates and averages compared by L.S.D testing at the level of probability 5%. The experiment included only two factors,; the first factor chemical fertilization levels (C0:0, C1:100%, C2:50% and C3:25%) is recommended (N150, P2O5100 and K2O150) kg ha-1 was added in two batches,; the second factor, organic fertilization levels (H0:0, H1:5 and H2:10) kg ha-1 by two batches. The results were as follows :
1. Superiority of chemical fertilization level C1 on treatment of control, as it gave the highest values in the leafy area (104.13 and 89.16) dm2, leaves content of chlorophyll (192 and 183.7) mg 100 g-1 FW of sample, dry weight of shoot (63.59 and 57.10) g plant-1, flower set ratio (82.43 and 61.97) %, number of fruits per plant (15.28 and 10.72) fruit, yield one plant (1646.3 and 1145) g, early yield (7.3 and 5.18) tons ha-1, total yield (41.17 and 28.62) tons ha-1, the percentage of total solids soluble (5.01 and 4.89%) and the fruit content of nitrate excelled treatment of control (C0) on the rest of the levels, less concentration amounted (0.197 and 0.220) mg g-1 DW of the sample, for two seasons in succession.
2. Led addition of organic fertilizer level H2 to a significant increase on treatment of control, as it gave the highest leafy area (75.97 and 65.64)dm2, leaves content of chlorophyll (183.78 and 170.91) mg 100g-1 FW from sample, dry weight of shoot (59.25 and 49.65) g plant-1, flower set ratio (68.67 and 51.01)%, number of fruits per plant (11.83 and 8.86) fruit, yield one plant (1240 and 910.7) g, early yield (6.04 and 4.61) tons ha-1, total yield (31.01 and 22.77) tons ha-1, the percentage of total soluble solids (4.46 and 4.36)% and less content of the fruits from nitrate (0.306 and 0.318) mg g-1 DW of the sample, for two seasons, in succession.
3. Excelled treatment of interaction between chemical fertilizer and organic fertilizer C1H2 significantly on treatment of control (C0H0) to give higher values in the leafy area of plant (110.08 and 94.02) dm2, dry weight of shoot (68.3 and 60.98) g plant-1, flower set ratio (85.11 and 64.08) %, number of fruits per plant (15.58 and 11.30) fruit, yield one plant (1700 and 1220) g, early yield (7.5 and 5.28) tons ha-1, total yield (42.51 and 30.5) tons ha-1 and the percentage of total solids soluble (5.13 and 5.0) %, while lowest content of fruits from nitrate in treatment C0H2 (0.193) mg g-1 DW for spring season, the treatment C0H1 (0.217) mg g-1 DW for autumn season, compared with the highest concentration in treatment C1H0 (fertilizer chemical 100%) (0.492 and 0. 507) mg g-1 DW, as for leaves content of chlorophyll has excelled C1H1 in the spring season, as it was (195.63) 100 mg g-1 FW and treatment C1H2 in the autumn season was (191.54) 100 mg g-1 FW.
