One day, committed to make a change, I set goals for myself. The main one was to study until I could beat a smart kid. I got to the top of the class and needed none help from other students. It had only been three months since school had started and now, I would volunteer to read in eEnglish class so I could get more practice. My eEnglish was getting better every single time. In less than nine months, I could understand what kids would talk about around the school. I even made honor roll because of my hard work. By the end of sixth grade, my teachers were proud of my progress and couldn’t believe that I had learned eEnglish so fast.
Sincerely, I didn’t reach maturity when I was eleven years old, but became dedicated enough to change my life around during difficult times. Now, I am sixteen years old, taking all advanced and college classes, very committed, part of many extracurricular activities, and thankful for the decisions I made as a little girl.
