Liberty University has changed my life tremendously in just three weeks through Convocation, Campus Community, and community groups. One of the main reasons I chose Liberty was because of Convocation. Convocation takes place three times a week, and it is a great place to hear a variety of different perspectives from different speakers around the world. One of the biggest things convocation is doing infor my life is allowing me to see other people my age lift up their hands to God and praise him. Before I started to attending Liberty, I was a shy believer. I never did anything to attracauset attention to myself in the church. Convocation has allowed me to sing, and raise my hand during songs without feeling awkward or like I’m standing out. In return, I get so much more out of the worship. Although I thought convocation would be the biggest factor toin helping me with my walk into Christ, I was proven wrong once I attended Campus Community. Campus Community happens every Wednesday night and is a gathering of over four thousand students. The studentos come together and worship Jesus through the most incredible music and sermons. Not only have I seen Jesus' work in my life through Campus Community, but also through people around me. A friend of mine, who I met this year, came to Liberty struggling a lot with her relationship with God. She explained everything that she had gone through and why God was never a big priority in her life. TWithin the first week of coming to campus community, she instantly broke down in tears during worship. Once the night had ended, she told us that she wanted God back into her life and asked us to hold her accountable. The following week she pursued God more by waking up early and having quiet time and was no longer on her phone during convocation, but actually listening. It didn’t take much longer until she accepted Christ into her heart. One of the most joyous times this year was being able to watch her get baptized and begin this new journey in her life. Lastly, every Wednesday night we have community groups which allows people to meet in a small setting, a group of about five girls, and just talk about our week and things we can do to pursue God more. This time has impacted me by giving me people in my life to pray for and live life with. There is no other university that can impact my life the way Liberty University is doing.
