Trying to have universal love is one of the best ways to accomplish it. However, someone might ask what is the goal to in trying to build universal love between people. Well, it all comes down to our lives and they way we want to live by, accomplishing its goals and living in a better world. But, not everyone is trying to achieve universal love. Considering that, most of us might think that people are selfish because of what’s happening in the present situation. However, the author Asma points out in his article that people aren’t really selfish. That’s why he said, “My incredulity, though, is not because people are hypocritical about their ideals or because they succumb to selfishness.” Asma, once again, agrees that universal love is impossible and he also supports the idea of favoritism. For instance, he argues that universal love is not important by saying, “We must have no close friendships or exclusive loves because these will introduce loyalty and favoritism.” Asma tells us that we cannot give too much.
