Mr. Gaucher,

I wanted to reach out to you, and ask for your assistance. I served 15 years in the U.S. Army, I was medically discharged and retired from service. I'm rated 100% through the VA for disability and receive monthly income and full benefits. I also receive a 15 year active service retirement plan. I was permanently discharged on December 6, 2014. I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to stay close to my children who live with my ex-wife in Fayetteville, North Carolina, which is the neighboring city to Fort Bragg. I took a role as a project manager for a general contracting company but recently resigned due to no advancement opportunities. It was in that day almost a week ago I realized I needed to get back into a leadership based position where I could share my experiences and wisdom and try to mentor young people. In fact, the biggest thing that I miss from the military is being able to make a difference in someone else's life whether it was leadership, mentor ship, or on the battlefield. I was highly rated in all evaluation reports as a leader, and was highly decorated. While serving I took advantage of Tthe tuition Aassistance provided to active duty military personnel and received my Bachelor of Science in Social Science. I attended many army schools airborne school, ranger school, due to the United States special forces selection process. I served a total of 68 months in Iraq, 22 months in Afghanistan, and humanitarian aid in Hurricane Katrina and the earthquakes aind Haiti in 2010. I understand that my credentials as far as a military leader, are incredibly high and also proven by testimony and paper. I attended a program called troops to teachers before I transitioned out of the military and 2013. I hold all the licenses and certifications in the state of North Carolina but I'm falling short in the area of being recommended as an actual educator. I completely understand The amount of prior students you've had in your career and the ability to stay up to date and aware of them could be quite difficult. I would never ask you for a recommendation in a career field I was unproven in. I am willing to volunteer in any way you would feel fit, motivational speaking, teaching and talking about life lessons, leadership and the Army values and what they mean to me and how religion is key to any good leader's success.
Although

, I do live in North Carolina my schedule is wide open. The holiday season is approaching and I would love to help
Tiffin
Calvert in any way possible in order to get your professional recommendation. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this email it really means a lot to me and I hope to hear from you soon.

Best Regards,

Shane Ardner
