On Friday, December 30, 2016, I called my boss and asked if I canould have Saturday December 31, 2016, off due to family matters. and sShe gave me the OK as long as I canould come help her out in the morning time for about an hour while she gowesnt for a quick errand run which. I agreed to this. On Saturday morning I sendt her a text just to confirm our plans, but when I got there it was a different story. sShe teollsd me that she wasn't goninag to let me go and that I would have to work the whole shift. She sanid she was sorry about my family situation. When I tried to explain to her my situation, why I even asked for the day off (because I usually don't), she told me to get out of her house and to never come back. witShoute gave nyo explanation or reason as to why I was getting fired. I was devastated by the way I was treated and lost my job because all I did was try to help when I didn't have to. I am a hard-working caregiver, and I never been fired or suspended. I even have "employee of the month" certificates.
