In the book and the movie The Outsiders they’rethere are tons of similarities and differences. It starts out with a group of Greaser’sgreasers and Soc’ssocs who both hated each other. Cherry Valance has a boyfriend named Randy who areand they're both socs,. But they get in a fight and Randy takes it out on Ponyboy, who is a greaser. He ends up trying to drown him, so Johnny Cade, who is ponyboy'sPonyboy's friend ends up stabbing, stabs and killingkills Randy.The and the boys end up runningrun away. There is a fire in a church and johnnyJohnny tries to save the children, and does, but gets hurt himself and ends up dying. They have a rumble with the socs, withwhich the gang and end up winninggreasers win. It's not over yet though, because Dallas is so heartbroken about johnnyJohnny he ends up committing suicide. By the end of the story, Ponyboy starts figuring out his own life and isn't so sure that he wants to stay a greaser. Which theThe book tends to give more to the story, as in description.
