Artists need a certain amount of freedom to develop their creativity. Some people think that artists should have total freedom to express any thoughts and ideas.
To what extent do you agree?

I agree that artists, in order to develop their creativity, have to be completely free from rules or borders that prevent them from having an open mind. Only a mind that sees no boundaries can truly express what an artist is really feeling inside, because it takes courage and liberty to express something so deep for us without being bound by society, political situations, etc…
However there are limits to everything and there are always rules to follow: art isn’t always what in our daily life we define as the expression of the artist, as something beautiful that was created to amaze everybody by its originality; sometimes art can be used to manipulate society, it can contain dangerous or just too inappropriate content.
So I guess that artistartists should have a certain amount of freedom, as long as their artwork is appropriate according to the context it’s shown.
