Without the proper resources, someone with a mental illness cannot expect to live a productive and meaningful life, because without having access to mental health services, the mentally ill cannot be treated appropriately, and therefore. Therefore they go without treatment or receive inadequate care and treatment from unqualified sources that oftentimes treat symptoms with medicine that may or may not be appropriate or will even fail to seek other means of treating the mentally ill.
