Do plants grow in contaminated soil? That is what we were going for in this science experiment. My hypothesis was that plants will not grow in contaminated soil. I said that because the contaminants I used were really toxic and I thought that the soil would be totoo toxic for any plant to grow there. What I did for my procedure is Ithat first, I got 10 jasmine seeds. Then, I put them in a in a small little container each, the same size and same amount of soil in each pot. I also buried them each 1one inch deep. My contaminants were avocado oil, sea salt, oxi clean, dish soap, orange soda, hand sanitizer, coffee, septic cleaner, pine sol, all water, and regular. The results from doing this had an effect on 9/10 plants. Only one survived and that was the regular one. In conclusion, the results would say that contaminated soil is very dangerous to plants trying to grow there.
