CHRISTMAS LETTERS
( A child who had no money for gifts, gave each a Christmas Letterletter.)
One Christmas morning,
A family gathered around the Christmas tree.
A child gave out letters as gifts,
When opened, they silenced the noisiest sounds that be.
For you, my sister,
If I could, I’d give a dollhouse as huge as our own.
A place where you and the dolls could play,
Until you, yourself , are fully grown.
For you, my brother,
If I could, I’d give you all of my past gifts, only I’d make them life sizelife-size.
Army men, six feet tall,
And play cars so real, you could win any prize.
