An unclear rule inside the organization leads the member to misinterpret and take advantage of the negligence of the code of conduct. In the last 10 years, “USAG has educated members with raiseraising awareness about child sexual abuse and made offering Safe Sport training aiming to strength athlete welfare” (USA Gymnastic - About USAG, 2017). However, the outcome was that USAG has failed to adapt the purpose of the program. Many victims felt unsecuredunsafe to speak up of what had happened. “USA Gymnastics tended to be more interested in protecting the coaches than the athletes.” Said by Jennifer Sey, a former gymnast(Lisa Dillman, 2016). Moreover, some victims even questioned who would truly believe them in the organization.
