It is with broken hearts that the family of Donna Lorraine Carr announce her passing on March 29th29 at the Toronto General Hospital. Born May 15, 1951 Donna was a life time resident of Geary, NB. She, along with her former husband Eric Carr, raised two beautiful children and she maintained a unique friendship with Eric and their children's step-mother Dixie, enjoying family functions and celebrations with their children and grandchildren until the end. Donna worked for the Department of Advanced Education until she was no longer able to work due to her failing health. Relocating to Toronto along with her daughter in 2009, Donna underwent a double lung transplant on February 26, 2010 and was often referred to by the doctors, nurses, family, and friends as the poster child for lung transplantation, due to her remarkable recovery. Unfortunately, with rapidly declining health in the past few months, Donna was medevacedmedevacked to the Toronto General Hospital, where her amazing journey ended peacefully with the love of her son, daughter, and sister by her side. Donna is survived by her son Christopher Carr (Sherisse) of Geary, daughter Victoria Carr of Rusagonis;, grandchildren Shawn and Dustin Carr, Sawyer Crossley, Step grand-childrenstep grandchildren Sara Gardner, Summer and Clarence Parsons, brother Dennis Grace (Donna) of Zealand, and sister Joanne Grace of Fredericton. Special acknowledgment is also given to her dear friends Marguerite (Keith) McCormick and Margaret Lemaire. Donna was predeceased by her parents Don and Laura (Green) Grace of Geary, NB and her older brother Gerald (Gerry) Grace, also of Geary. In lieu of a funeral service, her family will be holding a “Celebration of Life" get-together at the Geary Lions Centre ‪on Saturday April 20th20 from 2:00-4:00 pm‬ and would like to invite family and friends to come and honour Donna's life with them.
