The LGBTQ community is a group of people thatwho identify as having sexualities that are considered out of the norm. The initials stand for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning. They unite under a common and relatable culture, conducting social movements for equality. Protests and revolutions to bring awareness of such people have increased greatly in this 21st century, mainly beingby people belonging to the community, who feel they are being discriminated against and that society rejects them. In fact, indications of homosexuality are recorded in the history of mankind. The earliest known event of LGBTQ dates back to 5,000 BC, when Mesolithic rock art depicted male figures, such as hunters and acrobats, intimately interacting with one another. While one example of the opposite party's argument as to why LGBTQ is wrong stands most commonly by religion,; the subject party argues that they are equal to “normal” people, theirthat their sexuality comes naturally to them, and that they do not have a choice in who they are. Thus, they accept themselves and advocate for LGBTQ rights and social equality among peoples thatpeople who are internally homophobic and transphobic due to purposestenets of religion, differences in learned-behaviorlearned behavior, perspectiveperspectives, and mindset.
In the past, the concept of having a distinct sexual identity did not exist until around the mid-20th century. People thatwho claimed to be “different” than thefrom others were quickly figured to be violating the law and also the nature of the humanhumans. However, today the world has become more aware of the people from the LGBTQ community, and more and more people “in the closet” are “coming out”. This, in other words, meanmeans that people of a variant sexuality are revealing themselves as such for everyone to see and know, and thus are not hiding. One of the earliest sustained homosexual organizations in the world was the Mattachine Society, aimed to preventat preventing isolation of lesbians and gays at the time in 1950, and again...
