I Playedplayed softball for nine years, and during five years of which wereof these I was in the high school varsity,. I started playing in fourth grade because I needed something to do and a bunch of my friends played on a team.
I started playing
already did some sort of sport.
At
high school I started out in eighth grade because I felt I was ready to compete at a higher level and two of my family friends tried out when they were in middle school.

When I first started people didn't really listen to what I
saidwould say, because I was the baby onyoungest in the team, and they had all been onin the team longer than me. role of beingHowever, when I became the catcher (I was for the pastlast 5 yearsyears), people dependedstarted depending on me to tell them where to go with the ball and what the play is afterto do next.
One
wayday my team tried to gettingget others involved, as we used to go to middle school games and some park board games. We talked to them and encourageencouraged them to try out for high school, and they got to askasked us many questions.

Being
involved ina part of this team-taughtteam taught me about how important workingit is to work hard and holding yourself to a standard is important andto be modest because winning isn't everything, playing is great as long as you are having fun.
