Hi, today is Chili Day !
Here, we’re going to cook with the quantity of greenhouse gases required to produce each ingredient, according to a universitystudy by the University of oxford studyOxford.
To make it simple, one decigram of greenhouse gases is illustrated with a green paper ball.
This is what it looks like for the tomato, red beans., and...beef ! See how the quantity is huge for the beef ?
As a result, here we have the quantity ofenough greenhouse gases emitted for one dish.
With this in mind, look what happens if we only remove the beef and have a vegetarian chili. So much less/fewerFewer GHG, right ?
In other words, if you go flexitarian, inaccording to our example you’re saving 127 km of driving per week ? ! Pretty cool, huh ?
