I decided to delve into self-perception first because I personally have trouble with defining who I am. I wanted to get ansome insight into how other people think of themselves. Although the individuals I interviewed have belong to a different developmental stage, I didn’t mind listening to their opinions. Some of the areas we touched on were their assertiveness, strengths, weaknesses, and conflict resolution. Destiny and perpetualPerpetual told me that they tend to tell people what is on their minds and do not hide their emotions from others. This was kind of interesting because, throughout the interview, the two young ladies kept receiving phone calls from their parents. Parents would ask about their whereabouts and the girls would answer, “don’t“Don’t worry, we’re fine”fine.” “We can take care of ourselves”ourselves.” We’re“We’re adults, mommy”mommy.” I thought Laura A. Berk (2018), summed it up better. She said, in late adolescence, young children achieve full adult appearance and anticipatesanticipate the assumption of adult roles. In continuation, there was a disagreement when it came to strengths. Destiny listed that she’s fast-paced and can bounce back very quickquickly from a negative situationsituations.
