In the movie Hidden Figures, there were many concepts were discussed that were included in the textbook. The movie Hidden Figures is about three women’s journeys throughoutthe experiences of three women in the NASA space program during a time in the world wherewhen women weren’t equally respected equally to men and white people still tried to showassumed superiority over black people. The main characters’ names were Katherine, Dorothy, and Mary. Katherine was working her way into the math wing of NASA. She helped to calculate the launch and landing of the NASA spaceship and her role was key into the success of the mission. Dorothy was the manager of all of the women on the “west wing”, but never gotreceived any accreditationcredit for her work. The “west wing” was the group of African American women who did math commutingperformed mathematical computations for NASA.
