When a new day startstarts without me
Dear mum, dear dad
Please don’t cry
Just know I have done my own bit
On this earth
Dear mum, dear dad
I have seen you both sufferedsuffer
To raise seven children
Hoping that they willwould grow up
To take good care of you
But the reverse is the case
Dear mum, dear dad
I’m sorry to tell you that;
I’m running out of reasons
To survive on this earth
I have been dead inside
Nobody noticednotices because no one
Lend errlends an ear to a brother.
It’s not really their fault
Because everyone is trying to
ScaleMuddle through in this path callcalled life
Does God really exist?
Is he deaf, that and he can’t hear us?
Or blind thatand he can’t see our plights?
BelievingIs believing that he existexists worthless?
I grew up hearing that life willwould be better one day
That has become a crèchecliché
Because life ain’t getting any easier
Dear mum, dear dad
When a new day startstarts without me
Tell my friends and loveloved ones
That I appreciate the loveslove they showed to me.
And for those who pretendpretended to care
Please don’t shed tears
Because when I was there, you put everything above my reach.
Dear mum, dear dad
When a new day startstarts without me
Please don’t cry
Because all I have wanted for years
Was to be able to die
So I can be free from all my thoughts
And misery.
