I have been living in Australia since the early 80’s, met friendspeople from different culture background as well as Austrliancultural backgrounds who have now become friends, and many Australians when I was at college andas well as at work. It is a wonderful experience that we canI want to share, I want to encourage everyone to share andtheir own, in a bid to exchange our culturecultural differences without travel tothe need to travel overseas. I often called itrefer to my experience as “All in one place”!
During my early years living in Australia, between 81’s -85’s1981-85, I had a very bad experienced on discrimination and equality inexperience as I was discriminated in my day-to-day life and at work even thoughtas well as in my workplace, in spite of the fact that the Racial Discrimination Act was establishedpassed in 1975. IThankfully, I've realised that these issues have gradually improved inover the last thirty years. People are more acceptaccepting and respectrespectful of others than they used to be forty years ago, whether init be in public places or at work. .
Australia is a country with a strong multicultural community,; in order to flourishtake care of our health living inas part of the local community and make Australia isthe whole nation a better place to belive in, we all have to continuously make efforts to increase ourraise awareness of human needsour rights as individual, whetherindividuals. We all must pledge to unite and not discriminate against a person because of their age, language, culture, gender, race, religion, value, or sexual orientation and many more. We gothave to treat each other as yourselfour neighbors like we do yourselves, not on ourbasing ourselves off skin colour or, where we come from, or what we do forin our personal lifelives.
