Introduction: Meningioma is the most common primary intracranial tumor, accounting for one-third of all tumors that attack the central nervous system. The quality of life (QOL) of patients with meningioma in Indonesia is poorly understood.
Purpose: The aim of the study was to investigate the QOL in meningioma patients after surgery and investigate the factors associated with this condition
, in order to make a proper nursery intervention postoperatively.

Methods: The design of this study was a cross-sectional study. The total sample for this study was 118 patients. The QOL data were collected using a EuroQol-5D-5L (EQ-5D-5L) questionnaire. Statistical analyses were conducted using the chi-square test,
fisher’sFisher’s exact test, and the logistic regression test.
Result: After surgery, two‐third
, or less, of the 118 patients interviewed reported “ problems” in the EQ‐5D dimensions of mobility (65%), self‐care (57%), usual activities (70%), pain/discomfort (84%), and anxiety/depression (70%). The average postoperative EQ-5D index value (±SD) was 0.55 ± 0.26 with the median of EQ-VAS was 69.2 (IQR 40–90). Multivariate analysis showed that the most dominant factor associated with the QOL was functional status (OR 6.728; Confident interval=95%P=0,008.). Factors related to low QOL were age (p = 0.014), tumor grade (p = 0,0001), functional status (p = 0,0001), fatigue (p = 0,001), illness perception ( p = 0,0001), and social support (p = 0,001).
Conclusion: There is a correlation between age, tumor grade, functional status, fatigue, illness perception, and social support with QOL of patients with meningioma after surgery. This study recommends taking that to the nursery assessment in postoperative meningioma. An appropriate nursing rehabilitation program is needed to improve the QOL of postoperative meningioma patients.
