One component that is necessary to be a leader is courage. A scared leader is really no leader. In the bibleBible, Moses takes action and has courage. One example is, “Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said, “Thus'Thus, says the LORD, the God of Israel: Let my people go, that they may hold a feast for me in the wilderness.”’’" EX 5:1

Being able to march in to a pharaoh's presence takes serious guts. Moses did not only march into the Pharaohspharaoh's presence, he demanded that the pharaoh would let his slaves go. It is highly risky to not agree with the Pharaoh, but, now to tell him what to do based on the religion that they are against was very risky. No person without courage would be able to do that. This is one example onof how Moses displays courage in the old testamentOld Testament.

Another example is when Moses said, “Do not fear! Stand your ground and see the victory the LORD will win for you today. For these Egyptians whom you see today you will never see again.” EX 14:13. He is telling them not to fear. He is being coragescourageous and spreading courage to those who follow him so they will be able to continue on. He is telling them that they cannot back down. Him having this courage and showing that they shouldn't be afraid helped all of them be very successful.
