This passage takes us deep into the heart of an honest Godly man who was overwhelmed by fear and afflictions and, for a moment, panicked just as we are being constantly overwhelmed and worn down by what seems like unending afflictions. David, a man of honour and dignity, at the time, had to play mad in otherorder to survivedsurvive the king's wrath.
There are times when it is easy to praise the Lord,
experciallyespecially when things seem to go smoothly. But there are times when you cannot see His hand in a particular situation, nor sense his presence. David shows us the way out from such circumstances, which is by letting praise precedprecede prayer requests.
He says, a poor man
criescried and the Lord heard him. When one of your children is crying, it immediately arrests all our attention.
This week, may the Lord hear your cry and deliver you from all your fears.
