I believe I am qualified for the selection criteria for the scholar’s program. As a hard-working student, I excelled academically during my undergraduate degree. I believed education is a means to an end, and also a route most easily accessible to tackle the numerous challenges facing our world. This is a revelation of the importance of education to serve as an engine of growth and progress across time and space.
On account of good academic results, I was awarded a financial scholarship by Impact Your World Leadership Initiative (IYWLI) which covers the university tuition, books, accommodation and feeding throughout my undergraduate degree. Having shown good leadership qualities as the Class Representative, I attended a leadership school in year 2012 through scholarship, sponsored by Impact Your World Leadership Initiative (IYWLI). I also graduated as the Second Best student in my department with a CGPA of 4.42 in 2015.
Aside from working hard academically, I have constantly trytried to improveimprove the community's quality of life by doing volunteer work by reconciling the passion I had for education with the desire of helping others. This was a testament when I volunteered in the ongoing protest against police brutality in Nigeria, which has gained traction and support around the world.
I will be committing myself to effectively take advantage of the opportunity that the scholar program would present, because of lack of funds from my parents to sponsor my education, which has been one of my greatest barriers to education since graduating from high school in 2005.
Based on the passion I had for development and with the desire of transforming my society, I initiated a public campaign for the benefit of my host community during my youth service in 2016.
