Activity Description (200-500 words): This activity is effective because it helps students review vocabulary and move at the same time (that is really important for my little ones). This can be a pair activity or a group activity, but we play it in pairs. Children jump all thethe entire time and try to guess the answer (the answer islocated on a flashcard attached to their opponent’s back)back.

Here are some steps to help you use this activity in your classroom:
Step 1: The students form a large ring in the classroom.
Step 2: Teacher selects two students (the 'ostriches')"ostriches") who will play the game.
Step 3: Those two students face each other in the center of a ring.
Step 4: Using clothespins, teacher attaches the flashcard to the back of each student.
Step 5: The students must always have their hands behind their backs, and they must jump on one leg and stay inside the ring.
Step 6: When the teacher says ''Ready"Ready, steady, go!''go!" they start the game.
Step 7: Jumping all thethe entire time, the students have to try and see what card is on their opponent's back.
Step 8: When the students see what is on their opponent's back, they yell out the word.
Step 9: If a student is correct, he/she wins.
Step 10: The winner chooses the next two 'ostriches'"ostriches," and they play the game again.
