My research interest is Osteoarthritis (OA) which is the most common degenerative joint disease and, a major cause of pain and disability in adult individuals, and itwhich is more common in women. My PhD project will be focussed on understanding the underlying pathogenesis of osteoarthritis and particularly the molecular basis for the increased risk of osteoarthritis in females.
Before my thesis, I worked at a cellular and molecular Dayday hospital’s lab. So, I gainI therefore gained enough experience in my field. Then, because of my thesis, I joined the Tehran university research centreUniversity Research Centre. My thesis was about investigating the mRNA and protein levels of SIRT1, SIRT3 and SIRT4 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs) from type 2 diabetes patients with retinopathy and those without retinopathy.
After that, I contributed to other research projects which arewere related to my research interests (Osteoarthritis). I have published five articles; that Thethe result of one of my studies indicated that “postmenopausal Iranian women with the C allele carrier TGF-β1 T869C polymorphism are more likely to be at risk of getting osteoporosis”. I have mentioned my articles in my CV.
