Dear Hiring Manager / Lead Researcher,
I was intrigued to find the Research Assistant/Associate position in the Department of Physics at "name-ABC," and I am excited to present my credentials applying for that position.

I also have experience in managing the computing cluster. During my study and research assistant position at "my school," I did active partitions in the new developments, training, and installations of packages (from source) in the HPC lab. I have inclusive experience in Linux and developed course content for a scientific computing course for undergrads. Furthermore, I have one year of Research Assistant (RA) experience in my school's Chemistry and Chemical Engineering department, and still, I am a part-time RA. My prime objective is to use first-principle methods to predict semiconducting material properties and fine-tune their properties. Currently, my publication is under peer-review in the PCCP journal of RSC advance (the first page is attached in the application). Moreover, in my opinion, my past research experience and this RA-ship position in prestigious "School-nameschool name" under the guidance of an esteemed supervisor would greatly benefit me to enhance my skills and knowledge. Last, but not least, I am confident that with my previous experience, I would be able to contribute positively and actively to the research group at "School-nameschool name."
You can find the details about the projects I have done in my resume. I would love to elaborate on how I can fit this job in the interview. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further information about me.
Thanks a lot, and I’m looking forward to hearing from you,.
Sincerely,
XYZ
